The Karadağs are a wealthy family that own vast estates in Cappadocia. Their heir, Seymen, goes to study in New York where he meets Bahar, the rebellious daughter of a modern family from İstanbul. Conflict ensues when they get married and move to the Karadağs' ancestral home, the "Asmalı Konak", where Bahar butts heads with the traditional patriarchal mores and customs.
